Typical Expenses

  • Tuition (for entire program): 18 000 EUR (Partner country applicants) or 9 000 EUR (Programme country applications) – see Costs and Funding for more information.
  • Travel to and from home country and between universities (1st semester university; 2nd semester university; summer school; internship location; and potentially 4th semester university)
  • Housing (rent, utilities such as electricity, gas, water, telephone, internet)
  • Other living expenses (food, transportation, clothing, misc)
  • Visa /Residency permit costs

Year 1 (more details below):

For Path A, we estimate that the expenses amount to at least 8,500 EUR (not including tuition fees) during the first two semesters.*For Path B, we estimate that the expenses amount to at least 9,000 EUR (not including tuition fees) during the first two semesters.*For Path C, we estimate that the expenses amount to at least 7,500 EUR (not including tuition fees) during the first two semesters.*

*These estimates do not include the costs for the Summer School, which may entail additional expenses such as travel and visa fees, as well as housing costs between semesters, during, and after the Summer School. The expenses for these additional four months are likely to amount to at least 4,000 EUR.

Year 2: The living expenses during year 2 vary greatly, as they will depend on your internship location (3rd semester) as well as the location from where you write your master’s thesis (4th semester).
